Q

How do I get faster at reading sheet music?

The bottleneck isn't note-name recall โ€” it's pattern recognition. Most students read note by note. Trained readers see shapes: a third, a scale run, a familiar chord voicing. The drill: take a passage you already know by ear and read it repeatedly until you recognise its patterns on the page. Transfer that pattern-scanning to new pieces.
